Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: At 5:47 PM on March 23, 2025, Officers Sammarone, Keenan, Cachola, and Griffin from the Elmwood Park Police responded to a car crash at Elmwood Terrace and Mola Boulevard. Officer Keenan spoke with 23 year old Brianna Martinez, who drove a black 2013 Honda Accord. Her car had severe front-end damage and the airbags had gone off. She had hit a parked 2016 Honda Accord and a 2024 Kia Sportage. First responders checked on Brianna, but she did not go to the hospital. While talking to her, officers smelled alcohol and saw signs that she was impaired. They asked her to do field sobriety tests. She took the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test first. Then she tried the Walk and Turn test, but she failed. She did not touch heel-to-toe and took the wrong number of steps. Officers stopped the One Leg Stand test early because she would not cooperate. Officer Sammarone arrested Brianna for driving under the influence. He based this on the crash, the smell of alcohol, and her poor test results. Police impounded her car for a 12 hour hold under John's Law. Sammarone then took her to the police station. At the station, Brianna read the operator statement but refused to give breath samples. She was very rude to the officers during processing. A friend signed a liability form for her, so she was released to him before her court date. Brianna received ten citations: Operating under the influence (39:4-50) Taking of breath samples (39:3-10.24) Refusal to submit to chemical test (39:4-50.4A) Reckless driving (39:4-96) Careless driving (39:4-97) Traffic on marked lanes unsafe lane change (39:4-88B) Careless driving no accident involving personal injury (19:9-1.17) Unsafe operation of a vehicle (39:4-97.2) Failure to make repairs (39:8-4) Vehicle in unsafe condition (39:3-44) On December 2, 2025, Brianna pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. She spent 12 hours at an intoxicated driver center and used an ignition interlock device for 3 months. She paid 640 dollars in fines.
