A Home Depot shoplifter is caught lying to police about his name — and the story falls apart when deputies run it and find an active felony warrant. "I was trying to find the motel." A Flagler County deputy stops a vehicle leaving the plaza and is told the driver was never at Home Depot at all — he was just looking for a motel, waiting on a friend named Jack in a brown truck. The story keeps changing. So does the name. When it becomes clear he is going to jail, he starts naming other people and offering deputies information on an operation he says is worth over $100,000. The deputy's answer: "There is no other option. You're going to jail." Willie Deshawn Parker was arrested and charged with grand theft, trespassing, and providing false information to law enforcement. Deputies confirmed Parker was on felony probation with an active felony violation of probation warrant out of Volusia County at the time of the incident. Investigators also noted he had previously been trespassed from Home Depot, and prior theft convictions led to an enhanced charge.
