On August 12, 2023, Cleveland Metroparks Police Officer Reichard observed a vehicle traveling 51 miles per hour (MPH) in a 30 MPH zone. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and soon discovered that the 21-year-old woman was driving on a suspended license. She then admitted to smoking a blunt about 40 minutes prior. She was asked to step out the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She was eventually arrested for DUI and at the police station, she provided a urine specimen. She was charged with operating a vehicle impaired (OVI), speeding, and driving on a suspended license. On January 4, 2024, she pled guilty to the DUI charge and the remaining charges were dismissed. She was fined, ordered to attend a 3-day Driver's Intervention Program, and her license was further suspended.
