When officers arrived, it was immediately clear that the driver, named Kirsten, was intoxicated. After determining that Kirsten was okay, she agreed to do FSTs but soon after started resisting officers orders. She was then cuffed and placed in an ambulance. Kirsten was transported to the hospital where she was read her rights and an evidentiary blood test was taken, the blood results came back at .284%, over 3 times the legal limit . She was then medically cleared before being taken to jail. Kristen was given citations for OWI, 1st offense, hit and run, wrong way on a divided highway, and failure to keep vehicle under control.
