On December 20, 2025. Officers from the Hudson Police Department were dispatched to a residence for the report of a physical domestic dispute. Dispatch advised that the complainant (Brittany) called to report her ex-husband (Edwin) arrived to drop off their kids. Brittany explained that she told Edwin to leave but he began chasing her around the apartment, pulling her hair, and throwing things at her before driving away in a white F-250. While en route, an officer observed a white F-250 bearing WI plates that came back to an individual named Edwin with a revoked driving status. A traffic stop was conducted and the officer made contact with Edwin who was asked to step out of the vehicle. Edwin exited and was informed that his ex-wife reported the disturbance he was involved in. As officers spoke with Edwin, they detected a strong odor of intoxicants coming from his person and noted that his eyes were glassy. An officer arrived at the residence and spoke with Brittany who stated that she and Edwin had three children together and they had lived together for approximately 4 years but were no longer living together. She mentioned that he had a history of domestic violence, and the police had been called on two other occasions. Brittany informed the officer that she had been arguing on the phone and over text with Edwin before he arrived. After dropping off the children, Brittany told him that he needed to leave or she was going to call her mother. Edwin then “flipped out” and chased her upstairs before trying to take her phone out of her hand. Brittany stated that Edwin then grabbed onto her hair and pulled it when she felt and heard her neck crack which caused pain. Brittany also mentioned that she could smell the odor of intoxicants coming from Edwin’s breath, and that he grabbed a bottle of milk and threw it at her. The milk hit her in the back and caused slight pain. After throwing the milk, she heard Edwin run down the stairs and heard the door slam. After approximately 1 minute, she came downstairs and noticed that her front door was broken before calling 911. An officer observed blood on Edwin’s hand and asked where it came from. Edwin stated that he injured his hand while opening the door to Brittany’s residence, but denied ever becoming physical with her. Officers then informed Edwin of his revoked driving status and asked him about the odor of intoxicants coming from his person. Edwin admitted to drinking a single Angry Orchard earlier in the night and agreed to perform field sobriety tests. He then provided a breath sample on a PBT which showed an estimated BAC of .069. Dispatch advised that Edwin was revoked due to a previous OWI and had a .02 restriction. Edwin was then informed that he was under arrest for OWI and domestic related charges. He was cooperative and advised he understood. Officers searched Edwin and secured him in handcuffs before placing him in a squad car. Edwin was taken to the hospital for a blood draw before being transported to the St. Croix County Jail where he was released to jail staff. The result from the blood draw revealed that Edwin had a .080 BAC at the time of his arrest. He was found guilty for Domestic Abuse Battery and Operating While Intoxicated (2nd). Edwin was sentenced to 10 days in jail and 4 years of probation. This video is for educational purposes only.
