On August 10, 2023. Officers from the Pleasant Prairie Police Department responded to a vehicle crash at a construction site. Officers spoke with someone who lived nearby who stated a group of teens told them that a drunk woman crashed in the construction area. The driver had stated that there were two children in the vehicle which officers could not locate. The fire department was called and a search was initiated. While officers were trying to place the driver into custody she resisted and spit on multiple officers. The children were found to be safe at a different residence. The suspect was charged with “OWI(2nd), Battery or Threat to Law Enforcement Officer, and Throwing or Discharging Bodily Fluids at a Public Safety Worker”. She was sentenced to 150 days in jail, charged $2650 in fines and her drivers license was revoked for 18 months.
