Police opened fire on a gunman who refused to drop his weapon on Staten Island, with no one struck before the suspect was arrested Sunday, according to cop sources. It was the city’s fourth police-involved shooting in as many days. Officers responding to a call of shots fired at Bowen St. and Sobel Court in Fox Hills around 3:50 p.m. encountered an armed man who refused commands to drop his gun, sources said. After an officer discharged his own weapon, the man was arrested without further incident, they added. A large crime scene with at least three shell casings was seen.
