FULL REPORT: In that said offender did: Commit the offense of O.C.G.A 40-6-395, Mr. Bobby Lee Atkins (11/29/1965) was observed, operating a 2011 (White Cadillac CTS) bearing GA Tag (CUW7406). Said offender was traveling northbound on Hwy 85/ Garden Walk Blvd located in Clayton County GA, Forest Park Police Dept. advised that the above-mentioned vehicle fled from them on a traffic stop, days prior. I checked the above-mentioned tag through GCIC and which they advised that the registration was suspended back on (11/07/2024 and does not have active insurance, insurance was terminated on 12/01/2024 per Georgia Department of Revenue.I attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the above mentioned, but unfortunately said vehicle begin to flee north bound on Hwy 85, during this vehicle pursuit said offender almost crashed into several vehicles before performing the (Precision Immobilization Technique). Mr. Atkins was removed from the driver seat by me and several other officers that was on scene. Mr. Atkins was assisted to the ground upon taking him into custody. Mr. Atkins advised that his rib cage area was hurting due to his stomach hitting the steering wheel of said vehicle. Mr. Atkins was checked out by Clayton County Emergency Medical Technicians on scene (Med 5). Georgia State Patrol responded to the scene as requested by Lt. B. Warren, due to my assigned Clayton County patrol vehicle (7927) making contact with the above-mentioned vehicle. Mr. Atkins was mirandized and interviewed by GSP trooper, Mr. Atkins admitted to having several alcoholic beverages before getting behind the wheel of his vehicle. Mr. Atkins was charged accordingly by GSP on separate charges (DUI Less Safe). Mr. Atkins was transported to Southern Regional Hospital due to his chief complaint. Medical staff advised that Mr. Atkins had Cocaine in his system at the time of the incident. Mr. Atkins was discharged from the hospital and transported to Clayton County Jail for booking. Mr. Atkins vehicle sustained substantial damage to driver side door, driver side back passenger door and front-end damage. Mr. Atkins vehicle was towed from the scene by New Image Towing.
