Saint Marys Police Department April 7, 2022 --- On Wednesday, April 7, 2022 at 7:07 p.m., the St. Marys Police Department responded to Bath and Body Works on a reported theft of over $1,000. Officers ultimately found the suspects in the Kroger Grocery store parking lot and attempted to stop the vehicle they were driving. The vehicle fled and officers pursued the vehicle eastbound on U.S. 33 and then southbound on Interstate 75. Stop sticks were successfully deployed north of Sidney, OH and the vehicle came to a stop. Officers found in excess of $1,000 worth of suspected stolen goods in the vehicle. Arrested were Dakota M. Williams, 19 year-old of Dayton, OH, Elijahane Stroud, 19 year-old of Dayton, OH, and Amir K. Jackson, 20 year-old of Dayton, OH. Officers were assisted by the Auglaize County Sheriffs Office, Anna Police, Botkins Police, Shelby County Sheriff's Office, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. --- Dakota Williams was charged with - ORC 2813.02A2 - F5 - Theft - Convicted - ORC 2913.51A - F5 - Recieving Stolen Property - Convicted - ORC 2913.51A - F4 - Recieving Stolen Property - Convicted - ORC 2921.331BC5AII - F3 - Fleeing and Eluding - Dismissed - ORC 2921.331BC4 - Flee and Elude - Convicted - 5 year Community Control (probation), 180 days in the county jail. - $1,000 fine to count one (theft) Elijhanae Stroud was charged with - ORC 2813.02A2 - F5 - Theft - Convicted - ORC 2913.51A - F5 - Recieving Stolen Property - Convicted - ORC 2913.51A - F4 - Recieving Stolen Property - Convicted Changed pleas from NG to Guilty. Sentenced to 30 months in the Ohio Reformatory for Women prison Amir Jackson was charged with - ORC 2813.02A2 - F5 - Theft - Convicted - ORC 2913.51A - F5 - Recieving Stolen Property - Convicted - ORC 2913.51A - F4 - Recieving Stolen Property - Convicted Changed pleas from NG to Guilty.
