On August 19, 2025, 49-year-old Nicole A. Husar was arrested in Highlands, New Jersey, for driving while intoxicated (DWI) after officers noticed her vehicle swerving across lanes on State Route 36 North near Waddell Avenue. Officer McGrath initiated the stop after observing her black Toyota RAV failing to maintain its lane. When he approached, the officer immediately detected a strong odor of alcohol, noticed her slurred speech, shaking hands, and expired registration and insurance documents. Husar claimed the car belonged to a neighbor she was buying it from. During the field sobriety tests, Husar struggled to maintain balance, failed the HGN (eye) and walk-and-turn tests, and was unable to correctly recite the alphabet. Due to visible signs of impairment, she was placed under arrest for DWI. At police headquarters, after being read her Miranda rights, Husar agreed to take a breath test, which revealed a BAC of 0.287%, over three times the legal limit. She was issued multiple citations including: Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) Reckless Driving Failure to Maintain Lane Unregistered and Uninsured Vehicle Her car was impounded under John’s Law, and the Highlands Police Department released three redacted body-worn-camera videos and a seven-page officer report under OPRA, with sensitive and medical information removed. This report highlights one of the most serious DWI incidents in Highlands — showing how dangerously high intoxication levels can lead to multiple traffic offenses and a complete disregard for road safety. #DWIArrest #HighlandsPolice #NewJersey #BodycamFootage #DrunkDriving #NicoleHusar #PoliceReport #RealWorldPolice #DUIArrest #LawAndOrder #PoliceVideo #Justice #RoadSafety #USA #HighBACCase Real World Police provides unbiased and authentic footage of incidents captured on body cams.
