It really helps us do original reporting like this. 🔍 Episode Overview: Sergeant Michael Gulla of the Boonton Police Department responded to Vreeland Avenue on January 20, 2025. It was around 11:00 AM. A medical emergency was reported. He found a 2018 Lexus GX4 stopped in the road. The driver, Jenna Matthews, was passed out. The car was still in drive. He woke her up. He asked her to get out. Air duster cans were visible. Jenna exited the Lexus. Officer Michael Bost took her to McDonald’s. They continued their talk there. Jenna denied drinking alcohol. She did admit to using air duster. White residue was near her nose. Officers suspected she was impaired. They asked her to do sobriety tests. After the tests, first responders checked Jenna. She was handcuffed. Then, she was put in a patrol car. She allowed officers to search her car. They found more air duster cans. Jenna was taken to the police station. Her car was impounded for 12 hours. At the station, Jenna heard the Standard Statement. She agreed to give breath samples. The breathalyzer had trouble. Chemical residue in her mouth caused interference. The test stopped. Officers finished their reports. First responders then took Jenna to Saint Clare’s Hospital. She was later released to her mother. She signed paperwork acknowledging potential fault. Jenna received several tickets. These included: Operating under the influence Reckless driving Driving with a suspended license Delaying traffic She also faced criminal charges. These were inhaling a toxic chemical for intoxication.
