On May 21st, 2023, Florida police officers responded to a traffic crash after a driver reported that another motorist had brake-checked her and caused the collision. When officers approached the at-fault driver — an employee of the county jail — she refused to provide her license or step out of her vehicle, repeatedly insisting she "knew her rights." The situation quickly escalated when she struck an officer's body camera, and she was tased and taken into custody after a struggle. 📜 She was charged with felony resisting an officer with violence, three counts of felony battery on a law enforcement officer, DUI, damage to property, resisting without violence, reckless driving, and refusal to submit to DUI testing. 📜 She no longer works at the county jail.
