In this police bodycam footage, an officer pulls over a vehicle for an obstructed license plate. While checking documents, the officer discovers multiple fake IDs inside a student’s wallet — including a counterfeit out-of-state license. The officer explains that possession of counterfeit identification can carry felony consequences. Instead of making an arrest, the fake ID is seized as evidence, and the incident is referred to student affairs for campus discipline. This video highlights how small decisions can lead to major consequences — and how officer discretion can turn a bad situation into a learning moment.
