On October 5, 2023, In Del Norte County a California Highway Patrol Officer clocked Micah Meyers driving a silver Toyota Prius on Highway 101 northbound out of Crescent City California at 98 MPH, in an attempt to flee Meyers turned onto Elk Valley Cross Road heading toward Lake Earl Drive at a high rate of speed evading CHP Officers. He eventually pulled into a driveway on Kings Valley Road and the pursuit ended. Micah Meyers was booked into the Del Norte County Jail on the following charges: 14601.1 (A) - Drive While License Suspended 2800.2 (A) - Evasion - Wanton Disregard for Safety
