Throughout their four-year relationship, she downplayed his abusive behavior, terrified he'd lose his job and custody of his kids. As the situation escalated, he lawyered up and fought with officers, refusing to cooperate and resisting arrest. Despite her attempts to protect him, the reality of his violence and her trauma bonding became clear.
