Behind the heavy steel doors of the county jail, the booking area serves as a crossroads for lives in crisis. This documentary follows the real-time arrivals of individuals facing the consequences of a single night or a lifetime of choices. From a young man facing twenty years who remains eerily calm about his fate to a mother caught in a toxic domestic cycle with her own daughter, the intake process is rarely quiet. You will see the tension of a drug discovery lead to an aggressive confrontation with supervisors and the unexpected humor of a woman arrested for an unpaid ticket from nearly two decades ago.
