A mother called police after discovering a hidden camera disguised as a smoke detector inside her 12-year-old daughter’s bedroom. Her husband admitted placing it there but insisted he was only trying to prove that his stepdaughter stayed awake at night. That excuse quickly unraveled once detectives examined his phone and discovered what the camera had actually recorded. In this bodycam reaction, we watch officers investigate the disturbing discovery, question the stepfather about the hidden camera, and return the following day to place him under arrest. He ultimately pleaded guilty to three counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and received a prison sentence of seven to ten and a half years. This video contains commentary, criticism, and educational discussion of publicly released police footage. The identity and privacy of the minor victim are protected.
