Arkansas State Police dashcam captures a high-speed police chase ending in a violent TVI/PIT maneuver rollover with a 3-year-old child inside. After the red Dodge Charger flips upside down, the toddler climbs out of the wreck and walks toward Arkansas State Police Trooper Teddy Henderson. On May 2, 2026, Arkansas State Police Trooper Teddy Henderson clocked 23-year-old Thalia Jones driving 80 mph in a 55 mph zone on State Highway 118 in Joiner, Arkansas. Jones allegedly refused to stop and fled police while driving on a suspended license with her 3-year-old son in the back seat. The Arkansas State Police pursuit continued until Trooper Henderson performed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention, also known as a TVI or PIT maneuver. The Dodge Charger left the roadway, struck a mailbox, rolled across the grassy shoulder, and came to rest upside down. Seconds later, the 3-year-old toddler climbed out of the overturned car on his own and walked toward responding officers. Dashcam audio captures Trooper Henderson calmly telling the child, “Come right here, baby. You’re okay.” Both the child and Jones were medically cleared following the rollover crash. The child was released to a family member. Jones was charged with felony fleeing by vehicle, reckless driving, first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, driving on a suspended license, speeding, and unauthorized use of another person’s property.
