On May 28, 2024, Kylik Jones of Richmond, Virginia, was taken into custody on outstanding arrest warrants in connection with a dangerous high-speed police pursuit that occurred on April 27, 2024, in the City of Chesapeake. The vehicular pursuit originated on Interstate 64, crossed the High-Rise Bridge, and continued through multiple surface streets, posing a significant risk to public safety before being terminated by law enforcement supervisors. Later, On October 18, 2024, a jury found Jones guilty of felony eluding law enforcement, reckless driving, and operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended. According to official Virginia state court records, on January 27, 2025, a judge in Chesapeake Circuit Court imposed a two-year prison sentence that was conditionally suspended, in addition to a $500 fine and a 30-day suspension of driving privileges.
