🚨 Stolen Truck Pursuit Ends in Muddy Collision — Osceola, Missouri (July 14, 2024) A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper was patrolling southbound on Missouri 13 near Highway 82 when a white GMC Sierra approached from behind at 98 mph in a 65 mph zone. After the trooper activated emergency lights and siren, the driver — later identified as Tristan D. Lind — did not yield, and a pursuit began. During the incident, the GMC weaved between lanes, brake‑checked the patrol vehicle, attempted to turn onto Missouri TT Highway, then ended up driving southbound in the northbound lanes. Due to the risk to oncoming traffic, the trooper crossed the median and struck the GMC in an attempt to stop it. Lind continued attempting to flee by reversing through the median and entering the southbound lanes. While backing up, the GMC struck a gray Lexus IS 350, pushing it off the road. The truck then left the roadway and became disabled in the mud on the west side of Missouri 13. Lind exited the vehicle and ran toward the Wheeler Livestock Auction building. The GMC was confirmed stolen out of Raytown, Missouri. A search of the truck revealed a stolen Taurus G2C 9mm handgun, previously reported stolen in Kansas City. Several hours later, Lind was located and taken into custody without incident.
