He saw a blue 2020 Honda Civic without its headlights or tail lights. The Honda then hit a parked 2005 Saab 9-3. It also struck the Saab's driver-side mirror. The Honda then sped away from the accident. It turned onto Route 29 South after ignoring a stop sign. Officer Bast pulled the driver over on Route 29. The driver was Kathryn Patten. She asked if she had hit another car's mirror. Officer Bast noticed signs of impairment while talking to her. Officer Kevin Bereheiko arrived to help. Kathryn admitted she had been at a bar in New Hope, Pennsylvania. She also said she had two drinks earlier. Because he suspected she was impaired, he asked her to get out of the car. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests. First, she had to recite the alphabet from A to Z. She completed this task. Next, she performed the Walk and Turn test. During this test, she did not step heel-to-toe. She also turned incorrectly. Finally, she took the One Leg Stand test. She did not raise her foot properly. She also put her foot down too soon. The last test was the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. Officer Bast observed signs of impairment during this test. Kathryn was arrested for driving under the influence. This was based on the accident, her drinking admission, and her poor performance on the tests. Her friend arrived and was allowed to speak with her briefly. Kathryn was then taken to the Lambertville Police Department. Her car was towed and held for 12 hours. At the station, Kathryn gave her information. She was then taken to HCSO in Flemington. There, she took a breathalyzer test. She agreed to provide breath samples after hearing the Standard Statement. Her breath test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.14%. This is almost double the legal limit of 0.08%. After the test, she admitted drinking at two bars in New Hope, Pennsylvania. After processing, she was returned to the Lambertville Police Department. She was released to a sober person. This person signed a liability form for her. Kathryn must appear in court. Kathryn received several tickets. These included operating under the influence, careless driving, disregarding a stop sign, and failure to use lights. Court records show Kathryn was found guilty of driving under the influence on January 11, 2023. She received a seven-month ignition interlock device requirement. She also had to attend an intoxicated driver program for 12 hours. Fines totaled $740. The other three tickets were dropped as part of a plea deal. Later, Kathryn was arrested again on June 6, 2025. She faces charges for theft and criminal mischief. These alleged actions occurred on April 18, 2025. This case is still pending in court as of August 5, 2025. 1:46 holy tree frogs, I love it so much 2:22 She went from Master's down to Associate's, skipped the Bachelor's 14:05 Using the word "adult" very loosely!
