On March 17, 2024, DeKalb Police Officer Long observed a vehicle allegedly run a red light. She initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a man with a suspended license. The passenger, who was the owner of the vehicle, was defiant that they had violated no traffic laws. The driver eventually provided an ID and was placed under arrest. The woman, who also did not have a license, was told that the vehicle would be towed. That is when she became belligerent, insisting that she knew the law. She was eventually arrested for Obstructing a Public Official. The outcome of her case is discussed at the end of video.
