Source: Veebodycams CONTEXT: On May 27th, 2025, police arrived at a gas station to conduct a traffic stop after witnessing a driver make an improper turn. During the stop, officers noticed a locked safe in the back of the vehicle. When questioned, neither the driver nor the passenger would claim ownership of the safe. Officers, citing probable cause due to the suspicious nature of the locked container and the occupants' refusal to open it, forced the safe open. Inside, they discovered a 9mm Taurus G2C handgun with a red dot sight, a knife and a ski mask containing what appeared to be the suspect's fingerprints and hair, aswell as other potential evidence. Officers also noted blood on the suspect's shirt and found a condom in the vehicle, raising further suspicions about the firearm's possible involvement in a crime. The driver was identified as Orane Ackeem Johnson. He was detained and charged with moving traffic violation, driving while license suspended or revoked, indecent exposure, and exposure of s*xual organs (first offense). The firearm and evidence were seized for further investigation to determine if the weapon was connected to any criminal activity.
