📍 Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 📆 January 13, 2023 Palm Beach Gardens Police stopped a woman after an officer saw her Mercedes traveling 69 mph in a 45 mph zone. During the initial contact, the officer suspected alcohol may be involved, and another officer was called in to conduct the DUI investigation. Anna repeatedly became emotional during the field sobriety tests, at one point sitting and lying on the pavement while crying. Officers gave her time to compose herself and called Fire Rescue multiple times, but she declined medical treatment. The investigation continued until Anna eventually refused to complete the testing and was arrested for DUI and resisting an officer without violence. She later refused to provide a breath sample. The DUI charge was ultimately reduced to reckless driving. Anna pleaded guilty to reckless driving and resisting an officer without violence, with adjudication withheld on both charges. She received 12 months of probation, six months with an ignition interlock, and was ordered to pay $746.50 in fines and court costs. Her case later returned to court after she failed to complete all 75 hours of required community service. Her attorney asked the court to allow her to buy out the remaining hours, citing diagnoses of PTSD and agoraphobia. The request was denied. A probation violation proceeding followed, but the violation was later withdrawn and her probation was terminated as completed.
