Footage Credit: https://www.youtube.com/@levitrumbull999 On March 29, 2025, YouTube journalist Levi Trumbull was pulled over by Frederick County Sheriff's Deputy Roush for allegedly running a red light. Deputy Roush articulated suspicions that Mr. Trumbull might be impaired, so he asked Mr. Trumbull to exit his vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests (FSTs). Mr. Trumbull immediately exited his vehicle, but refused the voluntary FSTs. He was immediately placed under arrest and his vehicle was impounded. At the Sheriff's Office, Mr. Trumbull submitted two breath samples and the results were 0.000% BAC. Deputy Roush then called for a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) to evaluate Mr. Trumbull. However, Mr. Trumbull refused to participate in the voluntary evaluation. As a result, Mr. Trumbull was released with a traffic citation for running a red light and failing to produce his license. He had to pay over $367 to retrieve his vehicle from the impound lot. The traffic citations were dismissed after Deputy Roush failed to appear in court. An investigation of Deputy Roush was conducted and he was found to violate several departmental policies.
