Officers Shawn Sodora and Anthony Hochstadter went to 2nd Street and Washington Street. The caller had left. They saw a green Jaguar parked illegally. It was in a bus lane on Washington Street. A woman with blonde hair walked up. She got into the driver’s seat. This was Patrys Pearah. The officers saw signs she might be impaired. They told her not to start the car. They took her car key. Officer Anthony Rutkowski was called. He would test her for impairment. Patrys said she came from Weehawken. She drove to Hoboken for AT&T. Officer Rutkowski arrived. He asked Patrys to get out. She had to do some tests. First was the eye test. Officer Hochstatder saw her eyes didn't move smoothly. Next was the Walk and Turn test. Patrys did not follow instructions. The last test was the One Leg Stand. Patrys could not lift her foot correctly. She also lost her balance. Based on the caller's report and her test results, Patrys was arrested. She was charged with drunk driving. Her car was towed. It would be held for 12 hours. Patrys went to the police station. Her dog went in a patrol car. At the station, her dog was put in a cell. Patrys was processed. Patrys was read a statement. She agreed to breath tests. Her breathalyzer test was at the Port Authority. It showed a BAC of 0.00%. The officers still thought she was impaired. Officer Paul Miller came to do a special evaluation. Patrys got a ticket for drunk driving. She was released to a sober adult. She had to go to court. The adult signed papers for her. Patrys had a past drunk driving charge.
