On March 19, 2025. An officer from the Amery Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration. While speaking with the driver (Jason), officers detected the odor of alcohol and noted that he displayed sluggish body movements. When asked if he had been drinking, Jason stated that he had “Fireball” earlier in the day. Jason admitted to not having a valid license and was asked to exit the vehicle to perform field sobriety tests. Jason exited the vehicle and performed the tests before providing a PBT sample which showed an estimated BAC of.144. He was then placed in handcuffs and secured into a squad car. Jason was transported to the hospital for a blood draw before being booked at the Polk County Jail. A search of the vehicle revealed four 100 ml Fireball bottles. Jason was found guilty for OWI (4th). He was sentenced to 15 months in prison and 2 years of probation. This video is for educational purposes only.
