On January 26, 2025, in Palm Coast, Florida, deputies with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office pulled over an 81-year-old woman after she was seen driving 54 miles per hour in a 35 zone. During the stop, she became combative, using profanity and refusing to complete a field sobriety test. Body-worn camera footage showed the woman striking an officer while insisting she was too old to be arrested. Her son soon arrived and argued with deputies as they explained the reason for the stop and the open beer containers found in her car. The woman was taken into custody and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and possession of open containers in a vehicle. She was later booked into the Flagler County Jail, though no bond amount or release information was listed at the time of the report. All information in this video was obtained through public records requests and official reports. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
