A man sits inside his car outside a bar, clearly too intoxicated to drive. Concerned he might attempt to leave, the bar staff contacted police to prevent a potential DUI situation. Officers arrive and determine he shouldn’t be behind the wheel. After multiple attempts to reach someone to pick him up, they finally get in contact with his mother — who agrees to come get him. But instead of waiting it out, he escalates the situation. What could have ended in a safe ride home turns into something very different. What should officers have done here? Should they have waited? Or did he talk himself into cuffs? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. This video is dedicated to the memory of Viviana S., a friend that lost her battle with breast cancer and lupus last week. We love you Viv, fly high and rest in peace.
