On February 10, 2026, just after 11:20 PM, an officer observed a vehicle accelerating rapidly after leaving an intersection. According to the arrest report, the vehicle was paced at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour, reaching approximately 107 MPH. During the traffic stop, the officer noted signs of impairment, including slurred speech, watery and glossy eyes, and the odor of an alcoholic beverage. An open container was also observed inside the vehicle. Field sobriety exercises were conducted, and the driver was subsequently placed under arrest. Breath testing later showed results of 0.263 and 0.255 grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath. The driver was booked into the county jail on charges related to DUI, excessive speeding, and an obscured license plate.
