This video goes out to the family of PD Thor for his excellence in protecting the far north community in Queensland; Rest in Peace. On the 27th of January 2023, tragically, Thor passed away during surgery at a veterinarian centre in Cairns. He was rushed to the hospital after suffering a medical emergency while at home. This dog had quite the life, unlike any other ordinary pooch in the community. Watch the bodycam video from PD Thor's searches of suspects through homes, bushes, creeks and roads. Senior Constable Dan Fysh (handler) said PD Thor was the complete package. PD Thor was the second police dog for Senior Constable Fysh following the retirement of PD Hahm in 2017. “Several years ago, PD Thor and I tracked an offender wanted for a break and enter and assault of a police officer, “ Senior Constable Fysh said.
