Pinellas County, Florida – On June 25, 2025, police conducted a traffic stop and began a DUI investigation after observing signs that raised concerns about the driver’s ability to safely operate the vehicle. During the investigation, officers noted that the driver appeared unsteady on her feet, had bloodshot and watery eyes, a blank expression, and an odor consistent with an alcoholic beverage. During the interaction, she told officers that she should not be driving. The driver initially agreed to participate in standardized field sobriety exercises but asked to be taken to jail after completing the first exercise. She later declined to provide a breath sample. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and refusal to submit to testing. According to police, she had three prior DUI convictions.
