On December 3, 2024, at approximately 5:57 PM, a deputy conducted traffic enforcement when he observed a black Kia with dark window tint traveling northbound. The tint was so dark that the deputy could not see inside the vehicle. Recognizing the vehicle's registration from prior encounters, he noted that the owner had a history of hostility toward law enforcement and was suspected of narcotics possession. After activating his emergency lights, the Kia continued without stopping, despite passing several safe pull-over locations. Eventually, it stopped in a parking lot. The deputy approached the driver’s side and instructed the driver to roll down the window, but she refused. Due to concerns for safety and the driver's known hostility, he opened the door and ordered her to exit. After multiple refusals, the deputy forcibly removed her from the vehicle. The driver resisted arrest, prompting the deputy to use significant force to detain her. She was eventually placed in the patrol vehicle, where the deputy detected the smell of alcohol and marijuana. Four young children were present in the vehicle. The driver was arrested for failing to obey police orders and resisting arrest. Her mother arrived to take custody of the children, and the vehicle was secured on private property. A citation was issued for the illegal window tint, and the driver was transported to the county detention center. #bodycam #police #cops #bwc #policebodycamera #copcam #copcar #arrest #arrested #bwc The individuals featured in these videos are to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
