Drunk Driver Evades Deputies in Wild Nighttime Pursuit Bodycam footage from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office captures a bizarre and dangerous incident in July 2024 when a deputy spots a golf cart weaving erratically through the main lanes of a busy highway at night. Deputies attempt a traffic stop, but the driver—21-year-old Christopher Esdale—refuses to pull over and flees off-road into a park in a desperate attempt to escape.
