Using available information, they were able to locate the source of the call and arrived to find a vehicle that had crashed into a utility pole, showing visible damage with airbags deployed. During the investigation, the driver acknowledged being behind the wheel prior to the crash. Officers noted indicators consistent with impairment, including the smell of alcohol, slurred speech, and unsteady movements. She declined to participate in field sobriety exercises and later refused to provide a breath sample after being taken into custody. She was booked into the county jail on charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a breath test. She was also issued a citation for careless driving. Records show she later posted bond and was released the same day, with a total bond amount of $650.
