On July 9th, 2022, Atlanta Police responded to downtown Atlanta near Peachtree Center and Andrew Young International Boulevard for a fight with a weapon call. According to the police report, what started as a fight between teenage girls quickly turned into a full grown-folks situation once the parents began pulling up. One mother, Takisha Renee Long, allegedly came to the scene after her daughter called her about the fight. From there, things escalated, with allegations that she grabbed a juvenile named Amber and pushed her against a wall. Amber then called her mother, Starr Slade, and the situation turned into classic downtown Atlanta confusion — kids fighting, mamas arguing, friendships falling apart, and police trying to figure out who put hands on whose child. The case also includes cell phone videos showing multiple fights, an adult female allegedly encouraging the girls to keep fighting, Instagram messages after the fight, and a later photo lineup connected to the investigation. This video includes body cam footage, cell phone clips, and the investigation that followed. Body Cam On.
