On August 26, 2023, at 12:14am, I heard that a DTF unit with Sebastian County Deputy Brent Smith and Barling PD Officer Dalton Waggoner were in pursuit of a motorcycle that had previously fled from another Sebastian County unit. They were on Rogers Avenue traveling east towards my location. I pulled into the Central Mall parking lot and waited for them to pass me and then pulled behind them to become the second unit in the pursuit. I stayed the secondary unit in the pursuit the entire time as we traveled east on Rogers Avenue, south on 58th St, and then west on Gary St. The motorcycle crashed on Gary St. while attempting to negotiate a curve. The rider attempted to flee but was tackled and arrested by Waggoner, Smith and Cpl. Josh Porter with ASP who was the third unit in the pursuit behind me. Sebastian County deputies took control of the scene and the suspect and I went back in service. Sebastian County will also handle all charges related to this incident.
