Around 7:37 AM on April 22, 2024, Whitefish Bay Police responded to a report of a Jeep that had backed onto a front porch. When officers arrived, the residents told them their neighbor from across the street had been driving the vehicle. Officer Jesse Barkow made contact with the driver, identified as Kim Marie Stevens, and began asking what happened. During the conversation, he detected the odor of alcohol. Stevens denied drinking before driving, but officers began a field sobriety investigation based on the circumstances at the scene. After being transported to the Whitefish Bay Police Department, Stevens was read the Informing the Accused form under Wisconsin’s implied consent law and refused to submit breath samples. She was then issued a Notice of Intent to Revoke Operating Privilege. After processing, photographing, and fingerprinting, she was released to her daughter.
