Officers with the Fruitland Park Police Department in Florida responded after a toddler pushed through an unlocked gate at a daycare and made it into the median of a four-lane highway. Passing motorists stopped, pulled the child from the road, and brought him back to the daycare. When officers arrived, the worker responsible for the child first said she did not know what had happened. She later told officers she had said that because, in her words, her boss told her to, so the center would not be shut down. She then stated the gate had been unlocked and the child had gotten out while in her care. She was arrested for child neglect. No narration. No filler.
