On September 5, 2026, at approximately 1:15 a.m. an Arkansas State Police trooper responded to a pursuit involving the Cabot Police Department. Cabot officers were pursuing a black Ford F-150 southbound on John Harden Drive from Highway 5. The pursuit continued onto E. Republican Road and then northbound onto Peters Road. An Arkansas State Police trooper intercepted the pursuit near Clove Drive and assumed the primary position. After determining there were no other motorists or pedestrians in the immediate area, the trooper attempted a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI). The patrol vehicle made contact with the rear driver-side portion of the F-150, causing the truck to rotate and leave the roadway. The pickup subsequently overturned and came to rest on its roof. Officers approached the vehicle and found the driver, identified as **Karen Foster**, still inside with her seatbelt attached. After multiple commands to exit, Foster reportedly refused and resisted officers' attempts to remove her from the vehicle. Foster eventually exited through the passenger-side area and was taken into custody by Cabot Police. She was **treated by medical personnel** following the crash. The suspect's truck was disabled during the TVI, while the trooper's patrol vehicle sustained minor damage to the headlight housing and front bumper.
