On the night of March 7, 2023, in Sea Bright, New Jersey, 74-year-old Kathryn Maureen Ziola was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) after crashing into a parked police vehicle and attempting to drive away. According to the official police report, Patrolman Madison Taylor was sitting in his patrol car when Ziola’s vehicle struck the front driver’s side. After the collision, she continued driving until another officer stopped her nearby. During the stop, Ziola appeared confused, slow to respond, and smelled of alcohol. She denied drinking but failed multiple field-sobriety tests, including the Walk-and-Turn and One-Leg Stand.
