Affidavit Summary According to the arrest affidavit, deputies conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle with illegal window tint. As the vehicle pulled over, deputies observed the driver and passengers switch seats, attempting to obscure who had been driving. During the stop, multiple individuals exited a nearby residence and began interfering with the investigation. Deputies issued repeated verbal commands for the individuals to stay back and not interfere. Several subjects ignored those commands, shouted at deputies, and inserted themselves into the traffic stop. As deputies attempted to secure the original occupants of the vehicle, additional family members approached the vehicle, entered it without permission, and refused to comply with lawful orders. The situation escalated as officers were forced to divide their attention among multiple noncompliant individuals. Ultimately, deputies arrested four people for resisting an officer without violence, citing repeated interference with the traffic stop, refusal to follow commands, and actions that created an unsafe environment for officers and those on scene. All events described above are documented in the arrest affidavit and are visible on law enforcement body-worn and dash camera footage.
