This police bodycam video shows the arrest of a suspected shoplifter at the Target store in Rolling Acres Plaza, Florida after an encounter escalated and officers were forced to use a taser to gain compliance. According to the Lady Lake Police Department report, officers responded to Target following a report of a theft in progress. Inside the store, loss prevention stopped a woman believed to be leaving with concealed merchandise. When officers attempted to place her in handcuffs, she resisted and repeatedly refused to comply with multiple commands. Due to her continued resistance, deputies deployed a taser twice to safely take her into custody. During the struggle, the suspect also caused minor damage to one of the officer’s body cameras.
