On March 25, 2024, a shopper at the Walmart in Palm Coast, Florida, called the Flagler County Sheriff's Office about a woman who had pushed a full cart past every register and out to the car park. Deputies found Amber McCann, 30, outside. She told them she had put everything in a random car. Then she told them why: it was a game called "21," and it was "really fun." The car was not random. Deputies searched it for the stolen goods and found a great deal more. This is the body camera footage, in the order it happened. WHAT SHE WAS CHARGED WITH The Sheriff's Office booked her on six charges, including trafficking in methamphetamine (62 grams, the Sheriff's Office said), grand theft of about $1,030 in merchandise, and possession of alprazolam, marijuana and paraphernalia. Bond was set at $34,000. The State later dropped a hashish charge. WHAT HAPPENED NEXT In June 2024 she was sentenced to probation. She later violated it. On November 4, 2025, she was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in Florida state prison (Flagler County case 2024 CF 320). Florida Department of Corrections records list a projected release date of September 2027. FOOTAGE Body-worn camera video from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, recorded March 25, 2024.
