In May of 2022, deputies in Monroe County, Florida, attempted a traffic stop with the driver of a silver Toyota sedan. The driver did not respond or pull over for nearly five miles, and achieved speeds near 110 miles per hour. The car stopped just short of spike strips near Key Largo, and officers were surprised to learn the driver of the vehicle was a young woman, 19-year-old Janiya Douglas.
