*Happy Cinco De Mayo! The highlights of today's release is how Trooper 1st Class Jacob Byrd shares his vast knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system, with Trooper Roark. On the ride to Detention, the suspect tell Trooper Roark, that he loves watching ASP pursuits on YouTube (LOL) Have a blessed day!* On April 7th, 2026, approximately 1:30PM, I, Trp. William Roark was notified by Troop A Dispatch of a road rage involving a weapon that occurred on Interstate 430 south at the 4 mile-marker. The caller/victim, later identified as XXXXX, became separated from the suspect, traveled onto Interstate 30 west, took the 123 Exit, and came to a final stop at the Road Runner gas station. Trp. Jacob Byrd met with Jacob and obtained a written statement. The suspect vehicle was identified as a 2016 black Ram 1500 (V1) and the suspect was described as a black man. I then traveled to the registered address for the suspect vehicle. Trp. Nick Ramsey and Trp. Noel Lyons arrived to assist. I observed V1 parked in the driveway of the registered address. I then rang the doorbell of that address and made contact with Xavier Marbury, I identified myself and asked Mr. Marbury if he would be willing to come outside and speak with me. Mr. Marbury agreed then went further into the house, out of sight, for approximately 30 seconds before coming outside. I read Mr. Marbury his Miranda Rights. Mr. Marbury then stated that he knew why we were at his house and explained his involvement in the road rage incident. Mr. Marbury stated that he was traveling on Interstate 430 south, near the 4 mile marker, when XXXXX forced him to travel from the #2 traffic lane to the right shoulder in order to avoid a collision. Mr. Marbury stated that while traveling on the right shoulder, directly beside XXXXX, he held up a pistol. While Mr. Marbury was explaining to the Troopers that he held up his pistol, he held up his right hand at chest level, as if gripping a pistol, and was pointing the pistol in the direction directly to his left and looking towards his left. It was explained to Mr. Marbury that when a gun gets involved in a road rage incident, it takes the event to a “whole ‘nother level.” Mr. Marbury responded by saying that XXXX was taking it to a “whole ‘nother level” with his weapon of a car. When asked where his pistol was currently located, Mr. Marbury stated that he just put it up and locked it up. Mr. Marbury was then advised that he was under arrest for aggravated assault. Mr. Marbury asked why he was under arrest and Trp. Lyons stated that it was because he pointed a gun at someone. Mr. Marbury responded by saying it was because the other driver forced him off the road. I then placed Mr. Marbury in handcuffs, searched his person which yielded nothing, and placed him in the back of my squad car. The gun involved in the road rage was neither located nor confiscated. I transported Mr. Marbury to the Pulaski County Detention Facility and released him to their custody. While traveling to the detention facility, Mr. Marbury began to claim that he did not use an actual gun during the road rage but only a BB Gun. OCA 202605683ASP was issued for this arrest. Mr. Marbury was charged with the following: 5-13-204: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
