Per Report, On September 14, 2021 at approximately 2054 hours, I, Officer Lafave, was on duty in full uniform displaying my badge of office, and in a marked NMSP patrol vehicle within the County of Bernalillo State of New Mexico. At this time, I was traveling west on Interstate 40 to southbound Interstate 25 when I observed a white Cadillac fail to maintain its lane of traffic. The vehicles right tires drove on and over the painted fog line on 2 occasions. Once this vehicle entered southbound Interstate 25, I pulled behind this vehicle, a white Cadillac passenger vehicle bearing NM registration (expired 06-2016), activated my emergency equipment and conducted a traffic stop. I exited my patrol car and made contact with the female driver and sole occupant, later identified (Defendant) and asked Defendant to provide me her driver's license, registration and insurance. Defendant provided me her NM Identification Card but could not provide me any of the other requested documents. While speaking with Defendant I smelled the odor of freshly applied perfume/cologne, an alcoholic beverage and marijuana from Defendant, and/or vehicle; Defendants eyes were bloodshot and watery, and her speech was slurred. While standing at the driver window, I saw an opened 40- ounce Bud Light bottle with foamy contents still inside. I asked Defendant to exit this vehicle where I explained the reason for the stop. While outside of this vehicle I continued to smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath as she spoke.
