Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the suspect, a 42-year-old male named Cale. King Salmon are required to measure at least 28” from the tip of the snout to the tip of the tail in its natural position. In the end, four of the 66 salmon caught that day were determined to be undersized. Cale was charged with unlawful retention of undersized king salmon by a commercial angler. He pled guilty and was initially ordered to pay $2,870.00, but the prosecutor dismissed $1,000.00 of the fine. He has since paid the $1,870.00 that was owed. According to the officer’s report, 3 of the salmon were donated to The Pioneer Home and 1 was retained as evidence. If you like this video and want to see more like it, Subscribe to Arrest Cam.
