Police were sent to the Rainbow clothing store in Lantana after the manager reported that a woman had taken items and left before officers arrived. According to the manager, the woman had walked through the store with a Rainbow-branded bag, placed a pair of orange shoes inside it, then dropped the shoes and exited the building when confronted. Officers later spotted someone matching the description at a nearby Wawa. She still had the same bag, and inside it police located six pairs of earrings worth a little over six dollars. The manager confirmed the items belonged to the store. The woman, identified in the report as Tamika, was detained and transported to jail. A judge later set her final bail at $500. When the case went before the court, she chose to plead guilty, and the court entered a conviction for petit theft. Her sentence was 38 days in jail, with credit for time served. She was also ordered to pay the required court-related costs and fees, which totaled a little more than four hundred dollars. Once the conviction, sentence, and financial obligations were finalized, the case was closed. ⚠️ DisclaimerAll individuals featured in this video are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
