On March 3, 2026. Officers from the Bloomfield Police Department were notified by Illinois Law enforcement that they were currently in pursuit of a black Audi which was heading their way. Shortly later, officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver of the Audi (Tyler) refused to pull over and fled at a high rate of speed passing vehicles in a no-passing zone. While fleeing, Tyler ran a stop sign at approximately 90 MPH and lost control of the vehicle. The Audi rolled multiple times before crashing into a house. Officers then performed a high risk stop and began shouting commands for the passenger to exit the vehicle. The passenger complied and was secured in a squad car while officers ordered Tyler to exit the vehicle. He followed commands and kept his hands visible. As officers approached Tyler, they noted that he had a severe injury on his head and called EMS. Tyler was then secured in handcuffs and placed into a squad car until EMS arrived. He was then transported to the hospital via ambulance. While at the hospital, a baggie containing a white powdery substance was found in Tyler's pockets which later tested positive for cocaine and weighed 2.9 grams. A blood draw showed positive results for Opiates, Cannabinoids, Methamphetamines, Amphetamines, Buprenorphine, and Fentanyl. Tyler was found guilty for Reckless Driving-Endanger Safety, two counts of Passing into Oncoming Traffic, three counts of Operating Left of Center, Failing to Stop at a Stop Sign, Operator Violate Red Traffic Light, and Exceeding Speed Zones, etc. (35-39 MPH). Tyler was ordered to pay over $3,000 in fines and is currently facing charges for Operator Fleeing or Eluding an Officer-Bodily Harm or Property Damage, 1st-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Possession of Cocaine, and OWI.
